KARRATHA CENTRAL APARTMENTS GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Please carefully read our booking Terms and Conditions as they form the basis in which any reservation is accepted by Karratha Central Apartments.

PRICES AND GST

Prices quoted are in Australian Dollars and are on a per room night basis. The rates are subject to change without notice until your reservation has been paid in full. No GST is charged on accommodation, as services are provided for and on behalf of the owner of the unit with the manager acting as agent. The supply is input taxed in accordance with GSTR/2000/20 (Strata Titled Accommodation) as per ATO ruling.

BOOKING AND CANCELLATION POLICY

When making a reservation through Karratha Central Apartment’s website or directly with one of our friendly staff, we provide immediate confirmation for your reservation.
The Credit Card information provided at the time of making the reservation, which you authorise us to charge, will initially be used to charge one (1) nights’ accommodation to guarantee the reservation. If your Credit Card is unable to be processed for any reason your reservation may be cancelled.

The Credit Card used for the reservation MUST be presented by the card holder at time of Check-In along with photo ID for the reservation to be accepted. If you are not the card holder you are required to, prior to your arrival, have the card holder complete a CREDIT CARD AUTHORISATION FORM which can be obtained by calling reception on (08) 9143 9888 and one of our friendly staff will e-mail this to you.

This policy endeavours to protect our guests and Credit Card holders from fraudulent misuse and any personal information collected during this process will be securely stored and carefully disposed of at the end of its usefulness.   

For your information we accept the following Credit Cards, bank surcharge fees apply and are NON-REFUNDABLE even in the event of you needing to cancel your reservation:

Master Card:  1.15%
Visa Card:  1.15%
American Express:  2.1%
      
Should you need to cancel your reservation and do so more than 24 hours form your arrival date, you will receive a refund for the one night’s accommodation paid at time of making the reservation, however bank credit card surcharge fees are non-refundable. 

If you cancel your reservation within 24 hours from arrival date you will forfeit the one night's accommodation paid at the time of making the reservation. Early check outs are non-refundable. 

Corporate and specially negotiated arrangement made directly with Karratha Central Apartments may have different booking and cancellation policy. 

AT CHECK-IN

Payment of the entire reservation is to be made in full at Check-In along with any additional security bond we may impose. We will require valid identification confirming who you are and that you are actually the Card holder, unless a Credit Card Authorisation Form has been received prior to your arrival.
Corporate account holders are invoiced at the end of each stay and payable within 14 days from date of invoice. 

CREDIT CARD AUTHORISATION

By providing your Credit Card at time of making the reservation you are agreeing to the terms and conditions and authorising Karratha Central Apartments to charge your Credit Card for all and any charges incurred during your stay, but not limited to some of the following;
• Any breakages or damage to room incurred during your stay
• Any excessive cleaning charges above the normal level of cleaning due to the room being left in an unacceptable state
• Restaurant charge backs etc
• Additional servicing / cleaning charges including removing cigarette smoke smells from room

CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT TIMES

Check-In:      2:00 PM - AWST 
Check-Out: 10:00 AM - AWST     (Please note: Late Check-Outs may incur additional charges)

CHARGE BACK - RESTAURANTS

Should you choose to charge back the cost of your Food and Beverages to your room from one of our participating charge back restaurants, you are agreeing that you are liable for the full cost of the charge back and in turn authorise Karratha Central Apartments to on charge your room account accordingly.

NO SMOKING POLICY

Karratha Central Apartments has a strict NO SMOKING policy in ALL rooms. If you or your guest disregarded this policy, additional cleaning charges will apply and charged to your room account.

PARKING

Karratha Central Apartments offers free parking to it's registered guests, entering the car park is at your own risk; Karratha Central Apartments does not accept any responsibility for damage or loss to your property or that of someone else.

CYCLONE SEASON

Karratha Central Apartments has been built to cyclone codes with the Cyclone season running from November to April each year. Guests who are staying at Karratha Central Apartments during a declared cyclone MUST comply with all directions provided to them by Management.

TERMINATION OF STAY

Karratha Central Apartments has the right to terminate a guest’s reservation without notice with the loss of all monies paid under the following conditions, but not limited to;

• The number of persons in a room exceeds the number on the reservation
• Physical or verbal assault towards staff and or other guests
• Causing damage to property
• For an incident where management is required to call the police to attend
• Causing safety concerns to themselves and/or others
• Failing to adhere to the directives of management to reduce noise
• Carrying out any illegal activity on the property  
• Not complying with the properties Smoking policy
• The guest or their visitors are intoxicated and/or are displaying unruly behaviour

RESPECTING OTHERS

For the comfort of other guests we ask you to keep noise to a minimum so that all guests can enjoy a comfortable stay. Excessive noise is to cease at 10:00pm.  We would also ask to extend this courtesy to other guests whose rooms are in close proximity to the car parking areas when entering and exiting late at night or early morning. Please no visitors after 10:00pm.

INTERNET USAGE POLICY

Karratha Central Apartments makes Free Wireless Internet available to registered guests. Karratha Central Apartments reserves the right to disclose your communications and activities when using our WiFi system, whether is to media outlets or to lawful request by government authorities.
Karratha Central Apartments WiFi service MAY NOT be used for transmitting (sending or receiving) any of the following or for the following activities:

• Transmitting any material that infringes on any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright or other propriety rights of any party or is         otherwise protected from unauthorised duplication or transmission.

• Transmitting material that is unlawful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, libellous, invasive of someone’s     privacy, hateful, racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable.

• Transmitting material, chain letters or any other correspondence that would generally be considered “spam”.

• Transmitting any material that contains software viruses or other harmful computer code.

• Forging an e-mail header to obscure the originator of the message.

• Harming or attempting to harm minors in any way.

• Interfering with or disrupting the use of the service for other guests, either by design or due to unusually high bandwidth usage.

• Stalking or harassing other or collecting personal data about a thirds party without their knowledge or consent.

• Any other activity which violates local, state or federal statues.

NUMBER OF GUESTS IN A ROOM

Karratha Central Apartments has a strict policy that the number of guests in the room must not exceed the number indicated on the reservation documentation, additional charges may apply if this policy is found to have been ignored.

PET POLICY

No Pets are permitted inside any of the rooms or on the grounds at Karratha Central Apartments under any circumstance.
Guide Dogs are welcome at Karratha Central Apartments; please advise at time of booking if you will be travelling with a Guide Dog as a Pet Bond will be payable.

HOUSEKEEPING SERVICES PROVIDED

All bed linen, bathroom towelling and kitchen tea towels are provided.  A complimentary selection of guest amenities is also supplied along with kitchen detergent, dishwasher liquid and washing machine powder. Karratha Central Apartments offer housekeeping services i.e. Rooms are serviced every second day, with a full service that include a change of bed linen and towels for reservations of seven days and longer.   

RUBBISH REMOVAL

A large rubbish bin is provided on-site near the carpark for the disposal of rubbish from the room. All guests are responsible for the removal of their own rubbish on a daily basis. Bags are provided for this purpose. Removal of rubbish daily reduces ants and other pests.

UNACCOMPANIED MINOR

A person under the age of 18 is considered a minor and is not permitted to stay in a room at Karratha Central Apartments on their own, they must be supervised by a parent, guardian or adult at all times and who must be 18 years of age or over. 

SWIMMING POOL

Karratha Central Apartments warns that there are no lifeguards on duty and in case of an emergency you are to immediately call 000 and for all accidents and emergencies contact the Manager via reception on (08) 91439888, First Aid Room is adjacent to Pool Area. Children MUST be accompanied by an adult at ALL TIMES. Pool area use is for In-House guests only and strictly NO GLASS allowed in this area. Under Western Australian regulations the swimming pool can not be used after dusk. 

TRAVEL INSURANCE

We always recommend guests have the appropriate travel insurance policy to cover them for unforeseen incidents whilst travelling.

FORCE MAJEURE

Where the performance of this agreement by either party is subject to acts of God, war, terrorism, government regulations, national disaster, strikes, civil disorder or curtailment of transportation facilities beyond the control of the parties making it inadvisable, illegal or impossible to fulfil some or all of the agreement, the agreement may be terminated without penalty for any one or more such reasons by written notice from one party to the other.
 

GUEST SECURITY

Karratha Central Apartments have a number of strategically place CCTV Cameras throughout the property that are monitored and recorded to ensure a level of security is maintained. As a precaution we encourage all guests to ensure they keep their doors and windows closed and locked at all times. Karratha Central Apartments take no responsibility for any personal possessions that are lost, stolen or misplaced on the premises.
